The crowdfunded survival horror finds players battling their way out of hell by possessing humans and demons alike.

Agony was supposed to land on Xbox One, PS4, and PC on March 30, but has been indefinitely delayed in part due to bucket-lo of violence, torture, and nudity. In a Kickstarter postdeveloper Madmind Studio said that it's "modifying" the gruesome title to avoid an Adult-only rating — a death-knell for video games that essentially blocks them from consoles.

But it also confirmed that PC players will be able to download a special patch that unlocks the uncensored cut. The patch won't be available on console, due to "technical" and "legal" reasons, so Madmind is giving Kickstarter backers of the game the option to switch to the PC version.

In terms of what's being cut out, the developer is keeping quiet to avoid spoilers, but it did note that all the footage from the terrifying trailer will remain in tact. It continued: "Do not be afraid, the full version of Agony is much heavier than what you've seen so far anyway. We pay for your stories!
